I saw her live at the North Sea Jazz Festival…I will love her forever!” “Queen” Shirley Horn is remembered for her incredibly sensitive vocals. Her use of time and space in the context of a song was her trademark. She played exquisite piano and accompanied herself like non other. Her timing and vocal style was impeccable. She will always be remembered as the consummate Jazz artist!
